With all the new styles and colors of mens golf shoes lets take a look at several companies and see what the trend is.
First, golf shoes with separate interchangeable spikes will be a dinosaur very soon. Many companies like Nike and Adidas are moving towards a molded bottom sole without the changeable spikes. The bottom sole of the shoe is molded with nubs or spikes that will last about 2 years depending on how many times you play golf. No more buying spikes and changing them out every year. The men’s golf shoes today are moving in a direction of more reasonably priced with beefed up soles that are extremely comfortable and are green friendly.
The days of expensive shoes will be gone. The equipment today is moving towards life style wear. You can put your shoes on today at the house and wear them to the course. They look very casual and they can not only be worn to the golf course but just about any place.
Because of this trend that Nike and Adidas are taking the retail prices have dropped about 25%. They are easier to produce and are more like a gym shoe with great style.
Nike, a major player in the shoe industry has a new line coming out with this new type of shoe. The Lunar Swingtip, Ascend, Prevail, and Zoom Trophy by Nike Golf boast this new sole. They are very comfortable and they come in a variety of colors. The price tag is moderate with a range of $99- $129. Though Nike Golf has not switched completely to this sole throughout their collection, you can still find the interchangeable spikes. This is a big move for Nike.
Adidas Golf are also switching to this new sole. Adicross, Crossflex, Adicross II and Adipure have been added to the line with this new sole as well. The price range is just about the same as Nike.
A few other companies like Puma and golf shoe giant FootJoy have done the same thing as well with their men’s shoes. Kikkor, a new player in the golf shoe industry opened their line a few years ago with this technology and have never looked back.
